Hardcor Shield ® is a our patented hightech surface hardening method  that increases the surface hardness up to 6 times the normal hardness of the base material through multiple heat treatments and diffusion of carbon atoms in the base material.

Due to this labor-intensive process, these metals are surface hardened and up to 1300HV without loss of shape, color or corrosion resistance.  

This treatment creates a highly impact-resistant, scratch-resistant and corrosion-resistant watch case that is ideal for watches that are built for use in extreme sports or diving, for example. 

The surface hardening ensures a watch case that, even with years of use, is extremely well protected against corrosion, dents or scratches that would be immediately visible with normal untreated stainless steel.
